Vocalist Zoe Schwarz with guitarist Rob Koral, pianist Hilary Cameron, bassist Jerome Davis, drummer Mark Fletcher plus the added bonus of saxophonist Matt Wates. Zoe returned by popular demand after having produced another album 'Devil or Dove' -33JAZZ121, and from working at Ronnie Scott's alongside Monty Alexander. FRIDAY 10 MARCH Kate Williams. (Jazz Services Special)

Award winning UK pianist, composer Kate Williams on tour with Jeremy Brown bass, Tristan Mailliot drums and Steve Kaldestad tenor sax. The quartet played some of Kate's original tunes as well as pieces by Billy Strayhorn and Chick Corea amongst others. Saxophonist/clarinetist Gilad Atzmon's quartet with jazz vocalist Sue Kibbey and special Guest Ronnie Carroll. Frank Harrison piano, Yaron Stavi double bass John Blease drums. Pianist/Singer Pete Churchill, drummer Steve Brown, bassist Arnie Somogyi and the most distinctive of British tenormen Bobby Wellins. Try hearing Pete's 33 Records CD 'The Bad and the Beautiful' and you will understand the 'wholeheartedly recommended' praise that this man is getting. We had a musical treat.

With Chris Flory on Guitar. Ruby Braff complimented US singer Hanna on her singing: "that's the way to sing-simply & with spirit". She has an engaging and sunny style, assured phrasing & innate good taste with a serene yet heartfelt approach to melody, interpreting the lyrics with no histrionics or mannerisms. And as Martin Richards of Jazz Journal says "...best of all she swings."
